Turning a small want into a giant pile of parts and a little project into 5, with many tasks to check off of each, I'm getting a little further each day. A spreadsheet became a local database, SQLite, and its based on the way intel documents its processors. I'm gathering photos and documents, as much as is that's out there, and can use individual parts to compile builds which i can benchmark and put that info in. All stuff that takes up so much space and getting this done... well I'll have everything organized. All of this would be a lot more time, but I'm absolutely using LLM assistance, which I'm neutral in saying I'm using it. My thoughts on that topic right now are pretty even and with more positive interactions personally i'm for it. But im not immune to hearing about the horrors that have and are happening, and what all this could lead too. I'm not a doomer, but I feel like all this is covered in another post. I came here to update what i've done and what will become. there are 5 systems in total, 6 if you count a modern build but as of now the list by year
Commodore 64 Apple Classic Mac Windows 3.1 Windows 98 Windows XP
I have the new commodore as well and that will be explored once the Windows machines are logged and built.
Currently need A baby AT a 5 pin din keyboard a serial port mouse
acquiring those will finalize the parts needed for a running setup. And i can't wait to find out what does, doesn't and can work. I'm also thinking of games the cut off year i think is 08 so I'll curate a library of my old favorites and find new ones. I've also decided retro and vintage are lame, classic is what i'm quickly choosing now, tbd if that's my permanent lexicon now.
